DEVOLIN ANNOUNCES CELEBRATE CANADA FUNDING FOR HALIBURTON COUNTY

HALIBURTON COUNTY - Local MP Barry Devolin, on behalf of Heritage Minister Bev Oda, has announced a total of $2475 for two separate Celebrate Canada projects in Haliburton County.

The Township of Minden Hills will receive $2000 to help cover the costs of their Canada Day celebration while the West Guilford Community Centre will get $475. Both events plan such things as children’s activities, live entertainment and fireworks.

“Celebrate Canada activities have become a tradition offering Canadians the opportunity to share their pride in their country,” said Devolin. “The success of these events is due, in great part, to the volunteer members who work tirelessly to ensure each Canadian has an opportunity to enjoy local celebrations.”
