SADDENED TO LEARN OF THE DEATH OF
FORMER
VICTORIA
COUNTY
WARDEN FRANK POOLE
LINDSAY:
- Local MP Barry Devolin is saddened to hear of the
passing of former Victoria County Warden Frank Poole.
"I
would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the family,
friends, and loved ones of Mr. Poole who passed away on July 2,
2008 at the age of 80,” said Devolin.
“The thoughts and prayers of many in the Bobcaygeon-area
are with them during this time of great sorrow.”
Frank
was a member of Bobcaygeon Municipal Council for 19 years serving
as councillor, Reeve and Warden for
Victoria
County
. In addition, he was the Past President of the Bobcaygeon Kinsmen
Club. In the business
community, Mr. Poole was an entrepreneur in Bobcaygeon for the
past sixty years, joining Buckeye Enterprises in 1957.
“Frank’s
career was marked by strong leadership, wise management and a
sterling dedication to his community. His life was a shining
example everyone associated with public service in
Canada
,” said Devolin.
“The
dedication to his business and the community will long be
remembered by many in this area and beyond. We mourn the loss of
this exceptional Canadian," said Devolin.
