HCDC ANNOUNCES STORM RECOVERY PROGRAM

In response to the severe storm of August 2, 2006 the Haliburton County Development Corporation has created a special fund to assist businesses.

Businesses that lost assets due to the storm that are not covered by insurance are eligible to apply. Loans with deferred interest for five years are available to cover the loss of hard assets, (including inventory) and other storm related costs. Ineligible costs include wages and the loss of revenue.

Applicants will be required to complete the HCDC loan application, provide financial statements, credit checks and verification of non insurance coverage (if available), General Security Agreements and promissory notes are required.
