Those who Protect
In
Reservists choose to serve for many reasons. Some serve out of a sense of duty and patriotism. Some serve out of a sense of tradition. Some serve because they value the skills and experiences that they earn through this service.
Whatever
their reasons for serving, all reservists are a credit to their
nation through their loyalty, bravery and commitment to
Recently, the Conservative Government announced that it would provide additional support to our reservists by providing new legal protections for reservists upon their return to civilian life.
Specifically, reservists who work in federally regulated sectors or within the public service will be guaranteed that their employment will be protected during their service. In addition, students who serve in the reserves will, for the purpose of the Canada Student Loans Program, have their full-time student status protected as well.
