Marnie grew up and currently resides in Lindsay with her husband Wayne. A graduate of LCVI, she went on to Fleming College and graduated with a Social Service Worker Program Diploma. Marnie began working in the constituency office of former MPP Chris Hodgson in 1994 where she remained until 2003. Marnie once again looks forward to serving the constituents of the Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock riding on Barry's
behalf. |
Lisa grew up in Lindsay and was exposed to politics at a very young age and has worked on numerous campaigns locally and abroad. Lisa’s background is in Fashion Design and she put her skills to use in Toronto, Vancouver and London England. She spent a great deal of time traveling the world and had the unique opportunity to work in Saudi Arabia. She moved back to Lindsay in the late 90’s and was hired to work as the Events Coordinator with the Victoria County Historical Society. Her
community involvement includes The Children’s Wish Foundation,
V.P. of CHIMO Youth & Family Services, and Atomic Bluesfest
presented by Lindsay’s Academy Theatre. Lisa is pleased to be involved with Barry as the MP settles in to his new job. She’ll be making sure the office is running smoothly during Barry’s time in Parliament and working to make sure Barry is at as many events in the riding as possible. Lisa and her husband Paul are pleased to reside in
Cannington. |
Jamie and his wife Julia currently reside in Lindsay. The pair
were married New Years Eve 2003 in Peterborough. Jamie grew up
in Bobcaygeon and was most recently the News/Sports Director
at Y92 Radio in Lindsay. Jamie’s community involvement
includes Communications Chair of Easter Seals of the City of
Kawartha Lakes, Public Relations member for Community Care of
the City of Kawartha Lakes, United Way volunteer and Referee
In-Chief of Lindsay and Ops Minor hockey and the Central
Ontario Wolves AAA Hockey Organization. In addition, Jamie was
Barry’s Campaign Manager during the past federal election.
Jamie is responsible for such things as media relations, local
scheduling, advertising and stakeholder management. |
Peter and his wife Linda live in Fenelon Township with their three children, Jonathan, Katrina and Stephen. Peter was born in Port Perry where his parents owned 100 acres on which they raised corn and hogs. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at McMaster University and taught high school English in Tachikawa Japan. He was a lab and quality control manager in a precious metal refinery and then joined the family printing parts supply business. Peter began his own business, findabulb.com in 1987, specializing in hard to find light bulbs for businesses. No stranger to local politics, Peter has been involved with a number of organizations and groups over the years. Peter and his family are members of Grace Baptist Church in Sunderland. Peter’s smiling face will probably be the one you see as you enter Barry’s Lindsay constituency office. He will be working on such things as passports, immigration concerns and is looking forward to helping with individual questions from constituents in the
riding. |

Matt was born in Lindsay and has always lived in the area. He now
resides just outside of town. Matt is a student at
Carleton
University
in
Ottawa
, where he is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts program, with
a major in political science and a minor in law. Matt volunteered
for Barry during the campaign, and again in the constituency during
the month of December before being hired on as a part time
Constituency Assistant. |
Connie has been a resident of Lindsay all her life but with her new roll with Barry she maintains a residence in Ottawa as well. Connie Graduated from LCVI in 1982 and the Academy of Learning 2001. Connie is the proud mother of two wonderful children Peter and Laurie. She has assumed various positions throughout her adult life, most recently employed as an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist for Stewart Morrison Insurance Brokers and Volunteer Events Coordinator for Victoria County Historical Society. Over the years Connie has graciously given her time to the community. Her volunteer activities include; the Conservative Party of Canada, The Royal Canadian Legion, Lindsay Dance Studios, and the Academy Theatre in Lindsay. Connie is tasked with providing support to Barry while he is working in the Ottawa office. |
